Will any donations be sent to the person who quit? I get donations at home and at the school.

If you can pull it off, keep the march date. If not, move to May.

I don't think you need to tell your donors unless they are waiting for a response from you or if the items have expiration dates. I'm sure they understand that things happen.

Sorry for the delay in my response. We got 4 magnet play sets, two that say magnet literacy, one dress a doll and one whiteboard with line for handwriting practice.

I have a question for everyone. Our auction is scheduled for March 15th and that's the date that was included on all of our donation letters. BUT our auction coordinator quit on us and I had to send out hundreds of last minute emails and now it's too late to send anymore, so we are now debating on changing the date to May. If we change the date should we contact the companies that have already donated and let them know or is there no need? Also if it were you would you change the date? thanks for any input! We've got about $3,000 in retail value for about 20 items.

We've had a lot of good luck with Chipotle, Arby's, McDonalds and several mom and pop burrito and burger places around town. If worse comes to worse, one year for our dinner concert event, we did, "The Largest Potluck Ever" and turned it into a competition and had some head chefs from the local restaurants come in and judge the food and we gave prizes, everybody got to eat, and we didn't have to pay for food.

Does anyone have suggestions for companies that will donate food for an auction? We have a couple of food trays from local caterers, but really need more items. I checked with our local Outback and they said they don't donate food, but are giving us a gift card.

I'd appreciate any suggestions! Thank you all!

While I appreciate your opinion and yes, I have seen some reviews about Premiere Cancun .....but are they all dealing with the donation???? Or are they just dealing with an unsatisfied customer??? It really does not say?? That's my concern and that is why I sought to ask those who may have used them at their event. Wanted to know if anyone used this donation without a hitch?? There are reputable organizations on Bidding 4 Good using this donation with an Online auction. We can clearly listed the donation is for a "stay only" and that transportation, food & hotel taxes may apply. This is the same case for the donation that we received from for a stay in the Holiday Inn in upstate NY. ....We are not providing transportation, food or hotel taxes ....it is for the stay only. @Hallsey....I appreciate that you have chosen to eliminate this donation from your event, but I just want to make sure I see the full picture before I make that decision. I would like to hear from others who may have used them and what their results were. Is there anyone here that has use this donation with positive results??? Or Negative results?? Most of the people who use this board are pretty experienced, so I would definitely love your input. As for myself...I have been doing this for 6 years and I am located in NYC.
