Auction Software -- which to choose?

We just used Charity Auction Organizer and LOVED IT. It cost $79.00 and did absolutely everything that we needed it to do.

1. Track donations (good/services/cash)
2. Track all donors
3. Creates auction catalog with the click of a button
4. Online ticket sales
5. Credit card processing
6. Robust reporting
7. much more...

Can be a bit clunky to navigate but for $79.00 it is unbeatable. All of the credit card processing and check out systems were flawless.

We are using BidPal and love it! They have diffent levels/packages you can use depending on your needs and budget. We are using their fundraising suite. It includes an auction website (that can be somewhat customized but doesn't have to be to look good), the auction management software - which has tons of features, and my favorite.. Mobile bidding! They provide handheld devices (guests can also use their smartphone). Check it out!!

We used and love Greater Giving. Super easy, and does all that you mentioned.

We're looking for auction software to use for our next auction -- have used Auction! in the past, and it was fine, but thinking maybe there's something better out there that combines the merchant processing into one product, and maybe even takes care of online ticket sales & sponsorship donations too. Not really interested in the whole barcode sticker thing, seems like would just be too confusing for our sometimes tipsy guests -- and what happens when they lose them? And we're not necessarily looking for online or mobile bidding, but not entirely ruling that out just yet.
Has anyone used a software package that they love? We need to be able to enter closing bid amounts for silent and then live -- but print invoices as guests want to check out. Check-in with credit card swiping would be ideal for anyone who doesn't want to wait in line to check out!
