AMC has an online application. You select which theater is closest to you on the list and submit the application.

Dixon golf just reached out to the co-chair from last years event and they passed the info. on to me. I had applied to Dixon Golf online on 2/18 and didn't hear from them that way.
I think what they offered was wonderful. I don't think anyone would mind paying a $10 donation to get a goodie bag full of coupons (one to redeem for a hybrid or wedge) and the chance to win a sleeve of balls just for hitting a golf ball. If the players know that the fundraiser gets 20% of thier donation they shouldn't mind too much.
They also offer a whole in one with 2 night 3 day stay at MGM in Vegas.
They are trying to move into this area and want to get thier eco friendly brand out there.

Fundraiser mom - YOU ARE NOT ALONE. WE RAN INTO THE SAME PROBLEM. A few people said they would go to a few local businesses (nail salon & hair salon) and they dropped the ball. I am the only person handling the donations and I work full time, have a husband and two teenage girls, volunteer for concession stand at Booster Club along with being donation coordinator for Graduation Class. I stress alot and mumble to myself also (plus drink wine).

I can breath a little bit because the Golf Course basically runs the tournament and I don't have to worry about having to do that. I just need to find things to get the golfers to want to buy raffle tickets and prize items.
Thank you everyone for you feedback.

Fundraiser Mom - We have one person "keep" the list, and the others keep them up to date on when they applied and how they replied. We also have all the prizes sent back to that same person, so she can keep track of what is coming in. She then sends us an updated spreadsheet so we can see where we are. Of course there are always people who cannot do what they signed up for, we just remember that it's volunteer work, and everyone is doing the best they can. We sometimes jump in and help others if we notice their list isn't moving. They are always appreciative.

Crusader - Our letter states how many teachers/staff we have, which is 120. So for example, on sticks and stones, they give up to 99 on their website, and you can email them your letter.

Ok - here's my next topic for candid discussion. Often, the bulk of prize solicitation is done by very few people in some organizations (sometimes 1 or 2 people). What, if anything, do you say to people who offer to contact a few -- 1, 2, 3 businesses -- and then are "too busy, too crazed" to do so…and you only find out when you contact them to check on the status? I find myself just taking care of these businesses myself, if possible, and grumbling to myself. Sometimes we lose out on prizes, miss deadlines, etc. Am thinking in the future I would potentially have to say to potential volunteers that they need to make sure to let me know when they don't contact the businesses they are supposed to contact. Not trying to use this message as a vehicle to vent - just interested in how some of you handle these situations… I'd like to feel like I don't have to remind adults about their "responsibilities" ? If everyone didn't get around to what they said they'd do, there would be no prizes, right?

Salski... how did you get so many Red box rentals and Sticks & Stones GC?

Kim G... thanks for the info..still haven't heard from any of those companies yet...

Well we have 18 days left and I'm trying to finish up my city packages. Need a hotel and place to eat for a family in Chicago, St Louis & Minneapolis. Only have KC Zoo so I'm bummed I didn't get more for there.

Hope these last 2 weeks brings in lots of goodies in the mail.
