Ultimate Donation List

I have gotten tickets to Mets, Yankees, etc... I have done so by first creating relationship with a salesperson and host a fundraiser night at the stadium. They will often sell you tickets at half off face value and then you can sell them at whatever price you would like-(its a great fundraiser in itself) they are always willing to then donate later for auctions etc.

Hi add_dragon,
KarenVan has a great point -- Reach out for local support. Local businesses might offer gift certificates and then you can "build" a basket around that gift certificate as the centerpiece.

Good luck!

Your best bet for quick response are your in-town businesses ... restaurants, shops, small local owned anything, and they are the most popular! People on this site seem to overlook the weight of these donations. And you are only competing with people in your town, not the entire country. Do the work and you'll get the result.

Have you tried donationmatch.com? The selection of items varies depending on where you are, but turnaround for some items in their system can be quick, like only days. Zoobooks is pretty responsive, too--send a request through their Contact Us form.

Hi all-
Thanks for all the info I'v been able to gather from you so far. We are now 5 weeks out from our event and still trying to gather items for raffle baskets. We asked many places already but need to get more in a short window.
Any suggestions on places to ask that require only a 30 day ( or less) lead time?

Hi Elaine,

Here is the link: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/document/18...ation-request-letter. If that doesn't work, here's a roundabout way to get to it, but it should work:

Go to our File Exchange: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing

Go to Events and Programs and click on Auctions

Once on the Auction page, scroll down to the 4th item: Fundraiser Donation Request Letter.

Let me know if that doesn't work. Be happy to help!

Rose
