The link for American Airlines says no school and no organizations that support them like PTA/PTO

Thank You for your candor and clarification of this subject matter.

IMO ~ If a person does a search for that particular product and finds the same percentage or amount off, that would be classified as a coupon. Why pay for a coupon when you can get them for free (or one like them) online.

I usually add them to other like items as a fun bonus or to complete an basket/bid item.

I like to think like the consumer ~ Yes I am here to financially support this cause but I want to be wise in the use of the funds I use to take care of my family also.

I created the same type of document with the same info. Made filling out online submissions SO MUCH easier. Added benefits were that I didn't miss including something critical that I wanted to say, helped with spelling and grammar since so many online forms don't offer that service, and helped volunteers who weren't very comfortable with knowing what to say and how to say it.

We also share a google doc listing companies we contact, how to contact them, what they donate or if they say no and miscellaneous notes. Helps keep us from double contacting companies and serves as a basis for who to contact the next year.

I created my information document as a way for me to be organized, since I found almost every on line application I tried asked for the same information. It was then helpful the following year when others offered to help. I don't believe, though, it actually got me more donations. Just an easier way to apply.

Thank you Karin for the list. I will be sure to get all that info ahead of time to make life easier!

Hi KarenVan,
Thanks so much for sharing this! Very organized! Did you find that you received more responses from companies with this approach?
