Question: PTO Meeting Attendance

How much notice should be given by a PTO Officer that can not attend the regular scheduled meeting? The officer has known about the meeting for over a month but only gave day of meeting notice she can't attend.

It's really a matter of common courtesy. I can imagine lots of reasons why someone would have to skip a meeting at the last minute. But you certainly want that officer to do everything she can to make sure her duties are covered (the secretary should make sure someone will be prepared to take the minutes, for example) and to pass on any information she possesses that will be needed at the meeting. Now, if someone is constantly skipping meetings, that's another story.
