Question: Does anyone have any sample letters or forms their school uses to send to parents for a FUNDraiser?

Our school is going to be trying a new avenue regarding fundraising this year. 95% of our parents requested a FUNDraiser instead of selling entertainment books or a sally foster type fundraiser where you raise money by selling a good and making a profit. Parents wanted the opportunity to collect tax deductible donations. Does anyone have any sample letters, forms, or advice they wouldlike to share?

I'm sorry, we don't have any sample letters for that purpose. One suggestion I'd make is that people tend to like to make donations for fairly specific things. I don't think you should have donation categories, but I do think it helps to list some of the specific things you plan to do with the money -- things that directly affect students. Also, just a note that for donations to be tax deductible, your group must be registered with the IRS as a 501c3 public charity.
