Question: Form 199 or Form 199N, California Franchise Tax Board

Do all California PTOs need to file the California Franchise Tax Board form 199 or form 199N? I read that beginning in 2010, all tax-exempt organizations need to file this form electronically. Does this apply to PTOs as well?

I'm not sure about the electronic requirement, but all California tax-exempt organizations, including tax-exempt PTOs, must file from 199 (if your gross receipts are $25,000 or more) or 199n (for gross receipts under $25,000).

do you use the same filing FTB 199N if you made over $25,000 for the year of 2010

Here's the link. You can file online. (Note that it's specifically for organizations that have official tax-exempt status.)
