Advice from PTO Today

You will likely find the answer in your group's bylaws. If the teacher (and other teachers) are members of your PTO, then it is typical that he or she would vote on issues as would all members. There may be times when the teacher (or teachers) would abstain from a vote if it directly impacted them and therefore could create a conflict of interest. But to be safe, check the bylaws because there could be a qualifier that governs how your particular group would handle this.
