Question: No volunteers for executive board

Our current board is leaving (with children who are also leaving the school or "moving on") and we have no volunteers for replacement. As Treasurer, I am wondering how to handle if no one steps up. Does the entity have to be dissolved?

Hi there,
No, you don't have to dissolve and, if no one is stepping up, you can patch something together as you and the current board tries to find help. Having someone stay on as treasurer is really key because you need someone doing the finances. See if the current board can find a few folks who may be willing to step up as co-presidents. Suggest that because sometimes there are people who are willing to volunteer and step up, but they don't want to do it alone.

Hope this helps!
Hang in there, Rose
