Question: Proper Practice?
We are a newly formed PTO with 501c3 status. Our school has directed clubs/sports teams to funnel their fundraising money through our PTO account. Since we are new, I have questions about whether this is legal? They are not requesting we help do the fundraiser. If this is not a common thing that happens, how do we decline?
