I forgot to tell you guys this little amusing story...
My nominating committee was searching for willing volunteers to run for the office positions. Well, me and the rest of the board agreed to run again, but they were having trouble finding anybody else. To be fair, they sent out a note to all the parents asking for interested people. Of course, we only got a few responses (out of 1,000 students), but I was shocked when a teacher at the school stopped me and said, "I've got someone that's going to run against you for President!" I was shocked, not by the fact that someone dare run against me (LOL, i welcome it), but rather the fact that someone actually wanted to do this... our parent involvement is pathetic, and my big goal for next year.
Anyway, I asked who it was, and she told me that one of her 3rd grade students, misunderstood the whole note, and filled in his name as a candidate for President! LOL I appreciate his willingness to help, and need to find some way to get him involved, but it was just a funny, yet heart-touching, gesture...
