I know, JHB, that we're fortunate in this school district to still have driver's ed offered in school. I really like this school. They're very progressive educationally but so very traditional in many ways.

Our schools haven't offered driver's ed in years. We have to go to private companies (if you want classroom instruction). The training requires 32 hours of theory (classroom/study) and 14 hours in-car education. Here, the options are:

1) Parent taught (download curriculum from state website, keep certain records)
2) Private companies authorized (Cost is about $360)
3) Online courses

My daughter did her's with a neighbor who already had the software (about $200) and three friends did the classroom study it as a group and one of the other mom's supervised, so that was nice. Then we each did the driving part ourselves.

My son's turn is coming up this summer. I'm not sure how we will handle him.

Of course I'm right DT.... I'm CrewChief... ROFLMAO But seriously, read the rules, NO SOLICITATION.

LUV, isn't it funny how quickly Dad can become one of the kinds in the button-pushing arena!?!?

I spent last week in Alabama. They're about three weeks ahead of us on the Season's calendar so they were in full bloom. It was glorious! Daffodils, Tulips, green grass, Bradford Pears. I was in heaven ~ albeit a hazy, hay fever heaven ~ but it was worth it!

Shorty did great at driving. His teacher gave him an A for the first day. Said he didn't get an A+ because he rolled 3 inches past a stop sign before coming to a complete stop. Well, he learned that handy little technique from his mother!!!

I kept coming here this week, but had nothing to say(which is such a rare thing, that I'm surprised it didn't make the news), so I just gave my fingers a rest!

Did you all see octomom's latest? Fired the nannies. Now she's back in the news with the back and forth accusations. She needs to just stay home and take care of her children.

Our school district eliminated in-school driver's ed as a cost saving measure. Instead, you have to use one of the two outside firms that teach driving. Might try to get my daughter into a summer session, we'll see. Hope Shorty had a good experience!

Kids are on spring break this week and hubby is home with them. He's learning how very talented they are at pushing each other's buttons. I was with them for lunch yesterday and was ready to choke all three of them! One of those days where I was glad I was at work! If I would have known for certain that it wasn't going to rain/be windy today I would have left them the chore of cleaning off my flower beds. The tulips and daffodils are getting really tall! I can't wait for the color!

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

What?!?!?! Almost a whole week without a post on page two?

I agree, mykids. I think they are going after the doctor/staff that encouraged such a ridiculous situation.

Shorty has his first "over-the-road" class today. He's held onto his permit since before Christmas break and the weekend before he's supposed to drive at school, he loses it. And, of course, the DMV is closed on Monday! We finally got a replacement yesterday so he's good to go. He's really not a morning person and it was first hour. I hope it went well.....

My question is were is "dad". You know you can't just pick-up the stuff you need for cloning at the store! Shoot my hubby still has a laguh with our five!

I have heard of pending legislation to regulate the whole process... so once again one person had to make if more fun for the rest of us. Atleast an insurance company didn't pay for the babies! But then it's my premiums or taxes that are going to go up?
