I don't know that song and I should! I am hopelessly lost in the 80's. I love that country song- 1970 something.

I took the stickers off of my Rubik's Cube, Watched M-TV all afternoon....Space Shuttle fell out of the sky And the whole world cried... It was 1980 something, in the world that I grew up in. Skating rinks and Black Trans Ams, Big Hair and Parachute pants. ...

And I'm a VH-1 I love the 80's junkie!!

I know, can you guess which song this is?
"Tommy used to work on the docks, Unions been on strike, he's down on his luck- It's tough, so tough" When you get, start singing it!!

As for the centerpieces, they're done but I got some great window spray and harvest stencils!!

I love that song, because I can relate to it too!!! That was a good year.

Is there any more Turkey centerpieces to help with?

Sorry, I have never heard of that song. I like that 1985 song. I think it goes...There was Springsten, Madonna, way before Nirvana.
There was U2 and Blondie and music still on MTV.
Her 2 kids, in high school, they tell her that she's uncool,
'Cause she's still preoccupied with 19, 19, 1985.
Sad thing is, I really relate to that song!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

TheMetzyMom slinks in...

Hey everyone! I know, I know, where the heck have I been? Family issues took me out of town, but I'm back!

What's on the jukebox? Anyone know if there is a ELP tune on there?

TheMetzyMom heads over to the karaoke machine and starts singing a tune from ELP's Brain Salad Surgery... "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, we're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside..."

Turkey centerpieces sound fun! I'm gonna get myself a rootbeer, anyone else up for a drink?

It's been a whole three days since the "bar" has been opened.

I've brought in a bunch of leftover halloween candy (snickers and reeses peanut butter cups) and some Thanksgiving decorations for the tables.
Anyone want to help me put out these turkey centerpieces??
