Doesn't WD40 have a wicked scent? Would we pass out or become 'dizzy' from all the fumes? Hey ... it would be just like the book I finished Confessions of Super Mom. While it was a hilarious cover and some situations had me laughing (and others around me wondering what the heck I was reading) in the end it's not the typical book I would read so I would only give it a C from my grading scale. I will be at the local library today on the hunt for another summer book. Any suggestions?

Now that you mention it I seem to remember my Mom rubbing white goo her plants when I was a child ... come to find out it was Mayo. I also have additional family members who may decide the plants smell awefully good once applied so I think I will check out the local hardware or nursery to see what they may have. Just not today - very humid here today ... down right drippy ... let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Hey--JJ--cool idea...since mayo is primarily oil I suspect it works well...there's also a product out there by miracle grow called shiney leaf or something stupid like that---I believe it is a light wax (much like oil) that has made my plants just shine...just look around on the Lowe's plant food lane...Afraid if I do mayo the boxers will have a field day....d

Fox, Try mayonnaise. It takes awhile to wipe each individual leaf, and I don't know if it's "good" for the plants, but boy it makes the leaves so shiny and pretty. You don't have to do it very often, bout twice a year. I know, sounds gross, but it only takes a little bit and it really works. Let me know if you try it.

Okay houseplant people ... is there something I can use on my plants to help clean the leaves other than water? I tried water but the leaves still look as if they have a white film on them. Any ideas?

Made it through the weekend and have had my fill of relatives for some time to come. At least we had great weather - hate to think what it would have been like if it was 90 and humid.
