Ga mom--my sister and I read your post and cracked up....isn't it a hoot what we do with the first one and then by the 4th who stepped on a nail I find myself arguing with the phone in nurse about the dates of his last tetnus shot and whether he's within the time frame....hahahahaha...of course I went to the doc the next day..:)...

My little guy (5) has been into this blantant display of disobedience and so tonight he realized when momma says not to do something and he does...I will find out and he will be very, very sad....

I will tell you that each one of the boys has been spanked ONE TIME...by me (never by dad), and only 2 to 3 swats that time....that seemed to be enough to where they NEVER had to feel it again...so he is now on par with the others...and swears nothing is worth having it happen again. Such a sad thing for us both--and I hope it never happens again.

On a positive note...at the party we had a child who has down's syndrome and the families connected came up and both complimented me about how terrific the boys were in making him feel comfortable and coaching him in the baseball game and helping him hit a homer....

Man this parenting thing is a land mine...

hope everyone had a terrific Saturday!

D-lmao! That is so funny about the skittles!
One of mine stuck bubble gum up his nose, while my hubby (the calm one) was on a business trip to Dallas. I throw him (kid) in the car and head the ER. By the time we got there, he had already sucked it all the way up his nose and it was gone (!!!!) and they treated me for a panic attack. It was NOT a fun day and bubble gum is still not a favorite around here.
Where do kids come up with this stuff?

Another funny must-read is "Secret Confessions of the Applewood PTA".

Morning All ~
GA I am reading Confessions of Super Mom. I am only on the second chapter but have found many things, as a mother, of which I can relate. It keeps me smiling when she writes about situations in the PTA meetings ...

I try to keep all the boys papers and then buy those little plastic expandable files. I cull through and only save enough stuff for one file full for each grade. Helps a lot but the closets are STILL horrible. Heading up to NJ today. My sissy turns 60 tomorrow...so it'll be a nice weekend. Also going up for 2 nights vice one helps a lot.

So at the movies the other day the 5 year old comes out of the bathroom with a "bloody nose" on both sides. I said "oh my goodness what happened". Blah blah-take him in and clean him up...then we're leaving and I notice his hands are all yukky so I have the 7 year old take him in to wash his hands. He comes out all clean and the 7 year old says..."tell her". Then he says, "mom-5 year old was putting his skittles up his nose in the movie." SKITTLES...that was all candy die....7 year old says "I told him you wouldn't be mad--just dissappointed". To wit the 5 year old says--"they tasted yukky"......
I about split a seam trying to stay as serious as the 7 year old was.....heeeeeereeeee we GO!!!!
