Snow Day

I'm thinking we might get another snow day tomorrow. It's getting icy out right now, and many area county schools are letting out early. We are in a Freezing Rain advisory or something like that. Apparently there are a lot of accidents on the roads. If it continues through the night, I don't think there will be school. Lovely, my kids didn't go today because of some silly stuff that was my fault.

Here, here, tiner68. The weather is sooo nice. My 7 yr.old just asked me if she could go out and play, well of course please do I said. Then she asks if she needs long pants and shirt. What?? I have on shorts and a tee shirt, windows are open and it's beautiful outside. She then asks if it's winter or summer because we've but away most of the summer clothes.

I'm still wondering if Mother Nature is saying sorry for this past summer or saying enjoy it while you can, because you're getting slammed one way or another soon.

Well, you guys can come hang out with us FL people and lounge by the pool and soak up some rays with something nice and cool the drink in this 75 to 80 degree weather that Mother Nature has decided to send us to make up for the freezing cold that she gave us for Christmas. I lived in SC for a little while, and I can tell you that I personally don't miss snow. Well, let me rephrase that, I like snow but not the mess and hassle that goes with it.

Wow, I figured MI rarely closed if at all. All that lake effect snow and everything. I don't envy that.

We are going to float away! We have had school called because of alot of rain before. But I think roads were washed out or something and that was many moons ago.

Here in suburban Detroit most districts called a snow day, except Detroit public schools. (They only had 20% show!) I really didn't mind but I work so I only have so much time I can use! I can't really complain, this is the 1st snow day my district has called since my daughter started school last year. When other districts were closing, we stayed open. Most times the day turned out fine. I do agree that the new media does seem to try to whip everyone into a frenzy about everything!

Happy Snow Day!!!

I wish I could be a "snowbird". My in laws are. They go to Arizona every winter and don't come back until May. But I wouldn't want to be in Kansas in summer either. It gets muggy! I want to go someplace where it's around 70 degrees all year long! LET'S ALL GO and start our own PTO with our kids!!!! LOL
