Hi all - I am brand new here & LOVE everything I have read so far (tips, tricks, the "list of 120," etc) as I am running this year's Silent Auction event for our elementary school. I am determined to make it a huge success! I am contacting American Girl ~ any suggestions on which "donation package" to select? Sadly, I am not familiar with American Girl (gasp!) and not sure which package would bring most excitement & interest.

For American Girl Doll - I thought it was 3 years? We received a donation from them for our event March 2010. When I went on the website it states that it mus be jan 2009 or prior?
I just wanted to make sure I was clear that the portion of the auction we let kids participate in is their own special LIVE auction . . . not any type of raffle or tricky tray. I do appreciate the reminder warning since I'd never want anyone else to misinterpret my comments and end up in trouble.
Thanks for your posts! It is worthing reminding our community every so often about the importance of checking in on local and state regulations/laws before putting on these events. You all do work so hard to make them a success... It is so worth it to square away the details up front.
