Hi Ladies: Sounds like you all had successful events! Congrats. We too had a successful event but we did't have the opportunity to tap into the Ultimate Donation List. I am new to site and have no idea where to find this list. Could you please help me.

You also mention "Wheel of Fortune" what is that? I am one of the co-chairs for next year's event and want to get a head start in bringing in some NEW IDEAS!

Thanks in advance for all you help.

Gala has come and gone. New Date has been set for next year. Time to start again. Some people require 6-9-10 months before the event. No time to sit and pounder. Out of the box thinking worked the first time. Don't forget the small companies as well as the big. Promote Donations with the idea of FREE advertising for some people. Word of mouth and friends of friends are great ways of getting donations. Liked the idea of regifting. Someones never used item might work well for someone else when paired together in a gift basket.

Hi Jen,

We received the same Wheel of Fortune Package. We did give it a priceless value because a value cannot be placed on the 4 VIP tickets, special merchandise and signed photo's. (Priceless is used when the items are special and cannot be normally purchased.) If you don't want to use "priceless" you don't have to print any value at all. I do this with some of my items on occasion. Usually I do it for the items that have low actual value, but are perceived as having a large value. For those items the individual bidders will place a personal value on the item based on whether they are interested or not. For example, I recently offered a weekend stay at a beautiful 3 bedroom home in Lake Arrowhead. Because rentals in Lake Arrowhead have decreased their rental prices, you could rent a similar home for only $300 for a weekend stay. If I placed a $300 value on this home, bids would be limited and people would think that there was something wrong with the home or the neighborhood area. So I printed no value on the poster, and the Lake Arrowhead stay did very well in our Silent Auction.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Got our Wheel of Fortune package today. I'm not sure what to put for the value. I don't want to use "priceless" because I am using that on the reserved front row seats for the 6th grade promotion.

I saw it on biddingforgood listed at $100. Any thoughts?

I would send the 90day ones out mid December with the date of the event clearly marked. They would not even begin to conisder it until the new year.
Everything else I would have sent out by Jan. 15

Good luck!
