I also feel like it is Christmas when I check email/mail and get a "yes". I don't think anyone understands the pressure of trying to plan for a raffle. Our school tries for about 150 prizes and about 200 people for attendance. I
Wow! Just checked mail and received Hilton hotels & Holiday Inn Express! It is like Christmas all over again! Don't think we requested too early, just worked very hard on it....
I LOVE this site!! I have gotten so many more donation from looking at this website! Our annual auction is March 7 and we have gotten many major companies including: Disney World, SeaWorld, Hilton, Walmart Corp., Panera Bread, 54th Street Bar & Grill, Schnucks, Cracker Barrel, & Atlantis Resorts! Would love to have more hotels but not much luck!
Has anyone applied with Amtrak and gotten a response ? I put in a request in June 2013 for our April 2014 auction and still haven't heard back. When I log on to their website to check the status it says "Open" and when I contact customer service they tell me to log on to the site as it will tell me the status. I'm thinking that must have been too early or else they must just be inundated with requests. In any event, I thought I'd ask if anyone has been successful with getting a response.
Just an idea that has worked for me. I'm with a public grade school. I always hit up our public High School for spiritwear, and summer camps offered to the grade school kids.
I also search for private high schools, find the athletic director, and email them requesting donations for their summer camps! They've given us football, tennis, basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer camps!
Always works, and they are a huge hit at the auction with parents! Lots of $$$
