Question: conflict of Interest

Is it a conflict of interest for the PTO to sell merchandise that a Teacher has made for the school's spirit wear line? Does it matter if they donate it, brake even or make a profit on the merchandise?

This needs to be discussed at a PTO meeting. Your PTO needs to decide if it is a conflict of interest and if the PTO is comfortable with a donation, breaking even, or making a profit. Basically, a conflict of interest policy doesn't necessarily prohibit transactions/activities. It is supposed to ensure that all pertinent information - including any conflict of interest - is presented and considered when making decisions.
