Question: No receipts turned in
I am the new 2010-2011 PTO president of an Elementary School. I just found out from last year's treasure that the president wrote 3 checks for misc. items totaling over $800 and no receipts were turned in at the end of her term. Those receipts are yet to be turned in as of today. What should I do about it? The principal said she couldn't get involved. What is the appropriate way to handle this situation? Any responses would be appreciated. Thank you.

This is sticky. As far as I know, the only thing you can do is keep asking. Check with past members, and your bylaws, to see what the "official" response would be. Sorry, I know, not much help :-(
