Question: No receipts turned in
I am the new 2010-2011 PTO president of an Elementary School. I just found out from last year's treasure that the president wrote 3 checks for misc. items totaling over $800 and no receipts were turned in at the end of her term. Those receipts are yet to be turned in as of today. What should I do about it? The principal said she couldn't get involved. What is the appropriate way to handle this situation? Any responses would be appreciated. Thank you.

CMay2CK writes:This is sticky. As far as I know, the only thing you can do is keep asking. Check with past members, and your bylaws, to see what the "official" response would be. Sorry, I know, not much help :-(
