Rent a cotton candy machine! It takes a couple tries to get it down right, but it was a huge hit at our Fall Festival. Also Juice boxes or Capri Suns for the kids. We also did the popcorn machine, but the cotton candy was a hit with both the parents and adults!

You could do a baked potato bar. Bake the potatoes the night before and keep them foil wrapped in a cooler. Set the toppings up in a shaded, cold place (in ice or whatever) on a table. I love the baked potato bars and it's a nice healthier option (unless you are an Atkin's person- in which case, steak on a stick! [img]smile.gif )

if you can find a machine, sno-cones are a big hit at our school along with cotton candy, funnle cakes, and popcorn. check with the other schools in your area before you rent because they might have some of the equipment already. we trade off the popcorn machine to one school for their event to use their cotton candy machine at ours.

I'm voting for pizza by the slice. Dominoes is giving us their largest pizza for $6 each. They suggest selling it for $2 a slice. That's not expensive around here. We'd make $10 a pizza.

I'm looking for those super large bags of popcorn that we can package that morning. We set off the fire alarm 3 times last time we tried to use the rented pop corn popper. We did get a chance to solialize a lot and there was something to talk about, but I don't think we want to repeat the experience.

We're also considering carmel apples. I like the cotton candy. I reccommend making a lot of bags before the event so there isn't too much of a line.

I'm a big fan of easy food that doesn't require anyone to cook 40 lbs of hamburger or whatever. - I used to be in charge of monthly dinners for a singles church group. Having been the one cooking until 2am, I would NOT wish that on anyone else.

We always do a package of hot dog, chips and can of soda for about $3. We also do pizza (from Pizza Hut) and soda. We're in California - there's a chain of Chinese food places here called Pick Up Stix. We buy big trays of one of their chicken dishes and sell individual portions with rice. People love it and it sells really well. It's funny to read all the stuff you guys sell. It would NEVER go over here - people are really particular about what they eat and we can barely sell hot dogs. Has to be real juice - no Capri Sun, and people would never buy a Frito pie. We sell more bottled water than soda. We also sell more cheese pizza than pepperoni. It's a whole nother world out here!

We are considering Pulled Pork from Smoky Bones, with two sides our cost is $3.75 a plate! We will mark that price up to perhaps $5 or $6 and make a kid's plate.
