We wouldn't be able to do this. All movies and computer games, etc must be approved by the district. Too much hassle, but good idea.

I would be concerned about ratings and what parents at my school would find acceptable. Should you send out a survey asking parents what ratings they let their kids watch and what genre of movies would interest them? Maybe even have different nights for different age groups--a kndergartner is going to enjoy Winnie-the-Pooh where as a 5th grader would prefer Harry Potter.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but does anyone have any ideas on where to purchase a screen to put in the gym or library to view the movies on? We plan to have several family movie nights at our k-6 this year combined w/ spaghetti feed, fiesta feed, etc. We currently don't have a movie screen big enough to see a movie projected. Any suggestions of companies or ideas?

Hi -

We're just about ready to launch Family Movie Night as part of our School Family Night series and we could use one last bit of help.

Looking for thoughts on the value of running a family movie night and thoughts on PTO Today providing the step-by-steps and the marketing tools to help you run a family movie night. Any and all input welcome. We may be quoting you in some of the materials we're putting together (with your permission, of course!).

Thanks,

Tim
