wow! miss a couple of days and this place goes crazy!

Silver - so sorry to hear about hubby (and it being belated) - glad he's going to be ok.

Ok, just wanted to chime in on the career path of our kids. I've got a doozie here: My 11 year old daughter plans on studying the echolocation and habits of bats. Yes bats - the flying mammels. She has been in love with the little creatures since she was 4 or 5 (so I don't think it's a phase!). Her room is covered in bat posters, books, stuffed animals etc. Now mind you , she HATES bugs. Will go absoutly insane if one lands on her. So when I gently reminded her that bats live on bugs and she would need to be where bugs were, her response: "that just makes me like them more momma". Thats my girl!

My youngest - at the rate she's going and excelling in Karate - I see a future instructor in her. She has the kick butt attitude to do it, and do it well!

devious plan, Shawn.... I like you.

OMGh - Twin Brother just announced to the family that he is reenlisting in the National Guard. Says he didn't realize how much he missed it until Little Brother started sharing stories about Ft. Knox and Ft. Rucker. Twin Brother retired with 20 years at the age of 38 and said he'd never look back. Turns out that civilian life isn't allowing him to be all he can be so he's anxious to get back into the guard. I say if he can still do it at 41 (and he can) then good for him!

I know, if it were up to me, fossil fuels would be drained dry over the next few years. Luckily I have responsible friends like you who are helping to conserve our natural resources. ;)

There's plenty in Iran/Iraq and according to some the only reason we're there is to take it over BWAAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!.... More American jobs if we do... send us civilians to work the NEW US oil fields.

Leaning towards the small hybrid suv's; is that too 'soccer mom'? Not into camping; our idea of camping is the local Hilton - we fly to almost every vacation - hubby racks up frequent flyer miles like you wouldn't believe.
After all the crap form the contractor about my work schedule today they haven't even shown up for the promised work this afternoon! AGH! Thank goodness we didn't pay anything down ..
