Will you be running for office this year?

I probably could. A good VP goes along way. Thinking about newsletters, webpages, volunteer program, info, fun days,.... it makes me dizzy and nostalgic all at once. I really don't think I could do it. I've run my mouth too much this year when I should have kept it shut and made a bunch of people mad. You would think one that stays in trouble as much as me for a loose mouth would learn.

C.Brooks could you find someone to run as a "co" with you? That might lighten your load and between two people you could cover events.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

You go Shawn! I think every state needs more dads involved.

I am so tempted to try to run. I really don't think I would win anyhow. I have a couple of parents wanting to me try it. I just don't think I could spend enough time on it. I would hate not to be able to attend events and leave people scratching their heads wondering where there leader is supposed to be. On the other hand I could find me some good chair people to be in charge of certian events. Oh well. I know my husband would definately say NO. With me working as a sub I would have to turn down alot of work to do what is needed and expected. Plus, I do not get to work at that school much and that is a sore spot with him and me too sometimes.

Not this year, our prez still has one year left on her sentence.. I mean term.
Gonna run next year and maybe take on a district position.
California needs more men involved in higher profile places, maybe I can change that (..cue Dreamweaver sequence from chesy movie) our school is finally coming around now that we've had a few Donuts with Dad (fill our bellies and then pull out the powertools...AH AH ARG, nuther bad TV reference ie. TIM the Toolman)

Well, thankfully my husband hopped on the bandwagon last year and I think I've got you all beat in the crazy department. I'm just reaching the end of my two year term as the PTA Council President and guess what I went and did, I ran from the floor for Region Director and I won. Then I volunteered to take on Fundraiser Chair at the school at the same time. I'm just a glutton for punishment I suppose but I do love it! So it's another two years on the state board and a lot to accomplish locally. There are so many schools here with no parent groups at all.

My husband agreed to co-chair fundraising with me and he wants to be a VP again. I guess you have to get him to drink the koolaid with you!

Bertha, I know a really great marrage encounter weekend we can met at....I was nominated last Monday by 10 people for President! My husband wants me to not only walk away but RUN!! This whole school board election has us all stressed!

I'm actually excited! Having been at the school so long I have seen and know what PTO needs, I just hope my 3yr old (OH MY she is 3!) still likes to go to the school when she HAS TO! ;)
