Our gas has dropped back to $2.99 at most stations. But the yo-yo pricing is nothing new here. Our stations will raise prices around $.20 one day and then drop the prices a couple of pennies every day until it is back to almost where it was before they hiked it. It is a very frustrating thing, but what can yo do?????.

Our PTO pays all of the transportation costs of field trips, and so far the school hasn't cancelled any of them.

Well, our gas is holding steady at $3.09 in most places. We actually had a shortage of fuel for a few days because people were constantly filling up because they were worried about price and the possibility of shortage. I haven't heard anything about field trips, but ours are paid for by the group taking the trip, not the district or the school-they had this budget cut last year. So I guess they will just past the increased fuel price on to us as well.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Southern Illinois here and gas is $3.29 at the cheapest place.
Cbrooks I understand what you are saying about work. I am a stay at home mom but my goodness I have to go do some odd jobs just to keep gas in van. Both my children are very active and outgoing. Just cause of this I can't make them be hidden in the house.

God Bless everyone.

I am afraid to look. Hubby says about $3.19 at a local store. BUT their pumps are not equipped to handle those kinds of numbers and you have to times your total by two. Most people (especially older people) have a hard time with that. We are a poverty level county. The stats on our literacy rates are very sad. I haven't even seen any in math but I do know they are low as well. So it is causing alot of grief and confusion.

Guess whose tank and checkbook are empty? I have been able to work some but not enough. Most of whatever I make goes into my gas hog. I don't know what regular people are supposed to do, but we will make it.

Hey from North Carolina. We are out of gas or having to pay $3.69 if you can find it! If you do find the gas around here you are limited to 10 gallons.
Our school field trips have been cancelled until further notice. Has anyone else lost their field trips?
