Please, let's just do what we are supposed to do on this thread--which is to post places that have given donations along with their contact information. There are threads for the other questions or comments.

Has anyone used a professional auctioneer for the live auction and also consulted on how to raise more money?

Just1Mom: we have used the soaring adventures balloon rides for several years now. It works just as promised. We found them to generate a lot of excitement the first year, the second year not so much. Also, keep in mind that you must start the minimum bids out high enough to cover your cost of the balloon rides (except for the free one you get). While the rides can be used to create some anticipation and excitment at your event, they do not bring in very much money (I think we made a whole $80 from all three sold last year-combined) after our cost. But, they are a very trustworthy company, and are very simple to deal with. It is not a pain to redeem, nor does it cost the buyer any additional money, very legit. Good luck!

If you love to walk in to a place of business and then walk out with an instant donation . . . two successes I had this week were:

Dream Dinners - a certificate they say has an approximate $150 value. The owner of the certificate gets to invite 10 friends to create a 3 serving chicken dish to take home for free. Everyone also gets to sample some other recipes. If you are unfamiliar with Dream Dinners it is a place that does a lot of food prep and you go in and create meals for your freezer and not have to do any clean up. This would be a fun outing with friends! Check their website to see if you have one in your city.

Young Chefs Academy - received a certificate good for one free class ($30 value). Let them teach your kids to cook for you! Again, check their website for locations.

Hope this helps some of you!
