We are a very small school so getting high dollar donations is super important. This year we were able to get a set of braces donated ($5,000 value) and another $2000 discount on braces. Here's the verbiage we used.

One of our parents approached the orthodontist in person after they donated to the high school auction. This was the follow up.

The entire St.Ann’s PTO Board was so excited to learn that you would consider our school as apotential recipient of a donated set of braces to use in our upcomingfundraiser.

St. Ann’s is oneof the smaller schools in the Mecklenburg Area Catholic School (MACS) system, but we like to think we stand out in spirit and service. We have just over 200 students in Pre-Kthrough 5th grades and our Learning/Language Stimulation Program(LLSP), which offers specialized instruction for students with specificlearning and language challenges.

Our school is verydependent on funds raised by the PTO for academic support and curriculumenrichment for our students and faculty. As one of only two Catholic school in the MACS system offering Pre-Kinstruction and the only school offering LLSP, we are chock full of workingfamilies from a wide demographic across the region. We have families who commute fromHuntersville, Fort Mill and Indian Trail to bring their children to our littleschool with the big family feel where inclusion is everything.

Our students allknow each other by name, no matter what the grade level difference, and theywork together striving toward Christian character in all pursuits.

As a PTO, ourmission is to support all efforts to providequality learning experiences grounded in our Catholic faith and recognizingeach student’s unique gifts. Among ourfundraising goals: to provide supplementalmath training called Boxcars and One-Eyed Jacks for teachers. The program uses cards, dice and othermanipulatives to make math come alive for students. We are also working diligently to redesignour website so we can eliminate much of the paper and move closer to a “green”state as a school.

Over the last year, the PTO has purchased a SMART Board forone of our Kindergarten classes, four laptop computers for other classrooms, provided startup funds for all of our teachers, and donated funds to providefor the critical needs of our Christmas Angel Tree recipients.

We strive to be careful stewards of our funds and anythingdonated to our cause. We know thatshould you choose us as a recipient of your generosity, our school wouldbenefit tremendously and you would make a significant difference in the life ofone of our families. We would also besure to mention your generosity in our event program.

Thank you for considering St. Ann Catholic School in yourphilanthropy. Please don’t hesitate tocontact us if you have any questions.
