sppto ~ don't be "too" careful ... You can only request disney once a year. And they do mean once a year. Last year I applied on August 23. This year, their system wouldn't even let me in until August 24. So if you wait until 30 days before one year, it would have to be 29 days before the next, if you get what I mean.
The good thing about making your requests early is you have more time to collect donations. But the down side is expiration dates. I've had a lot of donors with expiration dates on their certificates, which is fine for my event since I started 8 weeks out, so not much lost time. However, if Disney sends you tickets soon, it will cut into the time the winner can use them since they expire 2 years from date on the letter. Mine were requested July 19, approved July 21 and dated July 23, even though they told me not to expect them until 2 weeks prior to the event (sept 14). Disney definitely under promised and over delivered in their donation process, but that may not be beneficial to you with an event several months away.
Hi ~ Has anyone actually used the Premier Cancun Vacation certificate for $600? I know there are other costs that have to be paid by the winner. I am just so worried this is a scam, and I don't want to give our organization a bad name. If anyone has used this, could you please email me to let me know how it went? Thanks SO MUCH!!
