In and of itself, it doesn't indicate anything except that the organization registered for one. EIN used to be pretty commonly disclosed/published. Now I'm seeing warnings that, like personal identity theft, there are cases of business identity theft. So maybe you don't want to publish it, but I wouldn't see any reason to keep it from a major stakeholder like the principal.
