Uh oh Silver, sounds like you're considering a fence!! I agree with your neighbor preference. We have some who don't even wave!

Wine ... keep a emergancy case of red & white on hand at all times.
Adult ... there are adults and then there are those that are posing as adults. More often than not I find out after the fact who is who via the neighborhood rumor mill. Slipping into 'reserved' mode here.
Whom would you rather live next to? Community active people who may have different opinions from time to time but you can see they care one way or another. Or neighbors who do not participate in anything even when asked opinions, live in their own world and just wave to you from time to time?
I'll answer the question first. All for active neighbors. My ideal is someone who can listen to your opinions, share theirs, respect discussions without judging and continue to hold a great relationship with all neighbors.

d, I have a lunch date with a friend on Friday and I cannot wait to be able to sit down and dish with another female for a couple of hours! I work in an all male office and frankly, they are conversationally challenged!

On the topic of grocery lists and multi-function machines, my hubby and I were just brainstorming Sunday afternoon as we were shopping without the list I had left on the counter at home. We thought the fridge could have a computer option that would allow you to tell it the things to put on the list as you needed them, then it could print out the list or send a text message to your phone to use while you shop. He's an engineer, so I told him to get busy inventing!

Hi again. I hope you all are doing great. I'm deep into the back to school stuff and I'm wishing for some wine, lol.

Hmmm multi function machine--there's the subject of a writing project if I've ever heard one....what would yours do? Mine would simultaneously entertain 4 boys whilst folding clothes, figuring out dinner and preparing a shopping list. I don't mind the shopping and cooking but the figuring point is tough--for example...my boys are eating hot pockets for dinner right now. I don't mind terribly since they think it is a real treat...but I suspect hubby won't be quite as enthused :).

I'm reading "Perfect Madness" now...it's about the whole woman fullfillment thing. Very interesting--somewhat if not blatantly liberal but may have hubby read it because a lot of what the author is saying about what women's real "choices" in life boil down to are right on target when it comes to my perspective on things.

Anyway--concrete is being poured on Wednesday...hubby has foot surgery tomorrow.

Anybody else bump into an adult right about now and talk uncontrolably like you've been on a desert island or something ?

I was spoiled this morning because the kids went to Grandma and Grandpa's and spent the night, so it was very quiet. Of course, then I got to work and my multi-function machine wasn't multi-functioning. It's amazing how dependent we have become on all the electronic gadgetry. It only took me an hour and a half, but I finally have it mostly functioning again.

I don't get paid enough for all this aggravation.
