Not Cheryl, but looked at my spreadsheet on the Canvas on Demand donation. Submitted it on 2/28, received an email back on 2/28 that they would review the request, and then received the package on 3/4.

Received our Disney tickets today. Never would have known to ask without this board!

I applied Friday night for Canvas on Demand and the box was delivered on Wednesday morning - the day of our event. So I'm not sure if they always send it out right away or if they send it right before the event.

I was turned down for Big Apple Circus because I didn't give them 6 week minimum notice

TT - Bidding for Good is a company that offers a platform for running online fundraising auctions. They advertise that they can provide you with free donated items, consignment items, and bidders.

I'm pretty sure that what you saw (I saw it to on a few sites), is their way of cultivating the first item in that list - they offer to host donation pages for national companies, and as a result, can provide their customers with a list of these donation pages. It strikes me as pretty smart marketing.

(Full disclosure - my company is a competitor to BfG, but I'm trying to stick to fair commentary here).

I'm pretty sure that if you fill out one of those forms, you will get a call from BfG pitching their online-auction platform. Although I filled out a few of them, and they have not called me yet.

MMA,

I applied last minute for Canvas on demand - 2 weeks ago and we received a package from them this Tuesday without any notification. Our event is 3/19.

Good Luck!

Mustang Mom - our event is 3/19 and I mailed Wheel of Fortune back in early November. The mailed a large bubble mailer of cool stuff and we only received it about 3 weeks ago. I hope you get it!

I emailed AirTran on 2/1 and have yet to hear anything.

I also requested the Ten Marks 1 yr free online tutoring the day after Roger posted about it. I got no confirmation email. So, I restarted the process yesterday afternoon, filled out the online donation form, and within the half hour, the confirmation email from Ten Marks came! Sometimes there are glitches - human or computer and sometimes we're all at the mercy of it!

Regarding Pearl Paradise - I directly emailed them after another message board parent gave out the email adress (thank you thank you thank you! ) and they were back in touch with me twice. The other day, I received a confirmation from UPS that I was getting a shipment from Pearl Paradise on Monday 3/14! So, it is worth it to stay on top of them! Also, someone back a few pages ago asked about setting retail value for the black pearl necklace - stating that it has a value of $500 but only sells for $90 on Pearl Paradises' website. In my humble opinion, I would NOT post $500 as retail in good conscience. You don't want a bidder to have the 'retails for $500' information and then checking out the website, seeing the $90 price tag and now your organization's reputation could be tarnished. You can 1) not state anything about retail or 2) post the $90 - I think that is the safest route for everyone involved. Just my opinion! Best of luck!
