d- is psychic- talking no-hitters

Mark Buehrle turned just another Wednesday night on the South Side into something special, tossing the 16th no-hitter in White Sox history. Buehrle blanked Texas in Chicago's 6-0 victory (almost a perfect game- he walked Sammy Sosa)

Its the nuiances of the game and stats that keep baseball fanatics like me intrested (how a game is pitched, how to 'hit&run, lay down a bunt, how hit a sac fly to RF to bring in the runner from 3rd, where to position the cut-off man) It can be a facinating game if all facets are learned.

Ohio- hotdogs (Dodger Dogs), Brats (Milwaukee), vienna hotdog (Chicago) are some of the best memories and things about smalltown Midwest communites . :0

I think you enjoy the game from right field the same way the kids do... Either wander off after a butterfly or sit right down and start looking for four leaf clovers..... =)

Okay ohio--while like you I spend my time on the ball field, 2 in baseball (where hubby coaches) 2 in soccer (where I coach one) and hubby is the t-ball commissioner for the county...I have to say I find baseball to be one of if not THE most boring sport of the year. To me it is kind of like watching farming. I know there's a strategy, I understand from endless hours of all games you might have to be a part of from 5-10 years old that there is skill...but any game where a "NO HITTER" is just amazing...really boggles my mind. I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GETS HIT and everyone is high fiving. I'm also suspect of a game where they have to build in a "7th inning stretch" so that everyone can WAKE UP....I mean go home in the 7th inning for goodness sake...if it is that boring that even your LEGS fall asleep...

I don't know...I'm destined to be a part of it for years...but I'm still finding ways to enjoy this game from out here in "right field".

Ohio - ramble away. Your enthusiasm is refreshing!

d - you rock. Oh how I wish I had your writing skills. The way you say so much with so few words is terribly impressive. Teach me how.... I think I use about five words to your one.

Take me out to the ball game....oh another night of ball practice--day 3 in a row 7 hours of practice under our belt LOL!! I love ball time---nothing like hot dogs for dinner every night for a few months LOL!! My 9 year old is catcher this year and he is loving it already and we are only in practice--he did alittle catching last year but this year his coach is impressed with him and has gave him that position already after day one of practice. My 7 yr old well its just fun to watch the little guys--a ball in right field and there goes the whole team to right field--cracks me up--they are so cute!! My 3 yr old can't wait to get out there but he has a few more years till tee ball.
Another reason I love ball time is it keeps the kids in touch all summer long--maybe its small town thing but any sport is BIG here and everyone plays something or has a family member in something so all summer I get to see the kids and I really love it and the kids get to see their teachers all summer cause teachers come to the ball field either with their kids or just to watch--many are coaches or assistant coaches or help in the concession stand and its just great that the kids see them and Mrs so and so can say are you reading over the summer or how is that division coming along--kinda keep on top of them LOL!!
Anyways I am rambeling--sorry!!Probably too much cotton candy LOL!!!
