Yyyiiipppppeeeeee! Merry Christmas to me... Merry Christmas to me.... Hubby just gave us the best Christmas present ever! We're moving back home!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Shhh, it's still a secret because it isn't officially announced until tomorrow, but we're moving back home! :D :D :D :D

Seems hubby can do an 18-24 month assignment in just 6 months. He rocks. Now his job here is offically done and he either spins his wheels for 12-18 months (not an option) or he moves on to the next job. Lucky, Lucky, Lucky us that the new job is right back in the same city we left.

Before any of my Southern friends are offended, let me say that I've enjoyed my time in Alabama and have learned many wonderful things that I will carry with me. But Home is Home.

The house goes on the market the first week of January and then we'll probably be ready to go by early/mid Spring. I knew I shouldn't have worked so hard on unpacking!

I never cut any person's hair, but I had some Barbie's with some really interesting hair-dos or should I say hair-don'ts! My mom rescued one of them by finding some Barbie wigs at the store to cover her poor spikey head.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

I just took a couple of minutes to get caught up here and I had quite a few giggles on the stories being shared .... Thanks ~ I needed it this morning!
Have a good day all!

Leave it to moms to remind their kids they were not perfect. My mom put my grandpa's hair (that I cut) in my baby book next to the lock of hair from my first cut. I showed it to him a few years back when he was in the hospital and he asked for it back since it was really thick and didn't have any gray in it. Of course, my kids think it's funny to find out that their mom was a kid and did kid stuff, they just think of me as the adult in the house (as my husband is not!) and the person that always knows how to solve the problems. I think I make my mom sick sometimes because she commented that my kids needed to see us argue and needed to know there isn't always an answer to everything. My middle child (very smart, big mouth) said "Nana, Mommy and Daddy argue, but Daddy's smart enough to know that Mommy is ALWAYS right & Mommy can solve anything, just ask her, she always has the right answer, even when she's mad at you." I told my mom not to worry, in a few years I would never be right or understand.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

My mom so nicely remined me tonight of me cutting my own hair and then using Elmers glue to try to glue it back on. :(

Doesn't every child try to cut someone's hair in their life? I cut my grandpa's hair when he was sleeping and I was 4. Sadly, I now cut the hair of all the men/boys in the family without any training (just necessity).

Luv-my husband's grandpa is 85 this year and still plants a full garden and goes to the farmer's market. We figure if someone made him stop, he would probably drop dead from boredom!

Ga & CC-you are so lucky your kids get out early. Mine are in school until the 22nd. Of course, we are out for summer in the middle of May.

Today, I'm just getting by. Got a call from the principal about my oldest....to tell me how wonderful he is and how good of a job he is doing. I have lost my voice and don't see any hope of getting it back because I keep trying to use it. My kids thought it was funny until I started thumping them on the head when they would ignore me. (something my husband does) Anyway, only presents left to wrap are from Santa, thank God. Working on a craft project and Christmas gift for my Rel. Ed. class. I'm supposed to practice their musical songs with them but I don't see that happening. My husband wants to do something on my computer so I'll talk to ya'll later.
