Hi Gamom! You're right, it is quiet in here, even for a weekend. Everyone must be really busy.

I'm so excited. I just booked my Christmas vacation. We're going to Disney World in Orlando. We're trying a new place, Disney's Coronado Springs hotel. Anyone stay there before? It's attached to MGM which is hubby's and son's favorite park. I can't wait. I'm ready to go now!!!

Oh, and Shawn, my son LOVES (loves loves loves loves) NWN2. He's probably close to being addicted, especially to the tool set. And he and hubby both love the Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War game. I tell hubby that he only likes those games because 'people' actually listen to him when he tells them what to do. They even respond with emphatic, "Yes Sir!" and "As You Wish" kind of things. I think it's going to his head.....

T - you're hysterical! Why do you suppose bands play their music so loud? Because you're too worried about your ear drums bleeding that listening to their ridiculous lyrics....

We didn't make it to Atlanta today. Lousy weather. Yesterday was sun-shiny and high 70s. Today it's cloudy, rainy and cold. We're going to a movie instead - A Good Year w/Russell Crowe.

Yippee for me! My office is set up and I can get real work done. I'm finding a few disadvantages to being self-employed - no IT dept, no coworker coffee breaks, no night time janatorial services.... just to name a few. But, I can work in my pajamas, play whatever background music I want, decorate my office any way I want (especially since it's a real office and not a 5x5 cubicle -eeeeewwwww). This is sure to be fun!

We (meaning me!) surrived the concert.

Can I just say- there is some REALLY sh*%$y music out there! Here's the set up: we get to the arena , in time, for the start of our concert (the All American Rejects). Bought some T-shirts (now I'm really impressed with this band. They kept the prices of their tickets down (only $25 for EVERY seat) and the t-shirts were also very reasonable- $20-25 each) and went to out seats to enjoy the concert. Then the opening band started - :eek: . Now let me just say, I'm a seasoned concert goer. Been to 3 this year alone, lost count over the last 20 years. This band was really bad, and loud. So loud that my daughter turned to me and said "It's too loud". I tried to explain that concerts were loud, but then when I turned to her again - she was crying becuase it was hurting her ears( by the way - did I mention how really loud they were?)! So we all got up and went to guest services. A very nice man provided us with earplugs and some unplesant news - the Rejects wouldn't be on unitil.........9:15!!!! We were to be treated to 2 more sucky bands before the actual band played (I did not know this when I bought the tickets. 'Cause trust me, we wouldn't have busted tail to get there so fast if I had know). So the girls and I sat thru 2 more bad groups (really, really bad and again: Loud!). But then all was forgiven becuase the Rejects came on.

Folks, you tend to forget how powerful music and musicians can be. I was vividly reminded when I saw the pure joy and happiness on their faces. They were so over the moon!! We had a blast. I have to say - I've never been to a concert where the band was so engaged with thier fans. It was really refreshing and so much fun to see. So the concert lasted for about 1 1/2 hrs. We left and I had 2 tired and very happy young ladies. So the night was a success! [img]smile.gif[/img]
