I was given a very nice bottle of white wine for my last minute fixing of a friend's wedding ("friends don't let friends get married without a wedding planner") and decided I needed to open it after cleaning the house for the party tomorrow, baking 2 cakes, rice crispie treats with the kids names on them, and giant chocolate chip cookies. Did I mention the cakes look like ice cream cones and the ice cream cups look like cupcakes? On a lighter note, Grey's Anatomy was good tonight and so was ER. If only I could see the whole show when it was on instead of recording it to fill in the gaps later.
It sounds like the neighbors have decided to have another middle of the night party, so I'm off to call the police department...again.

We are in the middle of a cookie dough sale, my oldest is having a party tomorrow all day while school is out for an inservice. Thank god I will have all weekend to recover. Our final count is 15 kids and 3 adults. One mom kept telling me thank you for doing something because she doesn't have anything for her child to do on inservice days. It was in the 70's here today but tomorrow is supposed to be low 50's. Kansas weather is just insane!

d - Also wanted to respond to your question - I wouldn't be offended by it. There may be a few who will be offended by anything and everything, but IMO most will accept it as an eye opener and realize they are very blessed and can be thankful. The school where my daughter did her student teaching, had so much violence. Parents in prison for murder, parents that didn't care because they were alcoholics or drug addicts, everything you would hate to imagine. Scared me some to have her there, but she learned also how blessed and lucky to come from an area that didn't have these problems.
