The ULTIMATE Donation List

Would you please give me the wording for the disclaimer you use? Thanks.

Hi Laura~

I haven't tried the survey monkey link for Redbox lately, but I'd try again. I recall people having the same result with it and later being able to access it.

I used to personalize each letter that I sent out, but that took many hours with the same results. Now I send our standard donation letter and include a small note, hand-written, to some of our donors directly on our donation letter. I always make sure to include this statement, "We would love to include a (Donor's Name) Golf Foursome in our auction this year!" I mention their popularity and even their highest bids.

Some donors require a SASE included along with your donation letter in order for them to send you tickets, etc. I In our master list of donors we include a column for SASE requests so we don't send them out to those who don't require them. Study each companies requirements carefully and follow them to increase your chance of receiving a donation.

Hi Lorraine~

In my auction commitment form I request that all donated certificates or tickets be good for a year from the date issued. On occasion I have received tickets with upcoming expiration dates and I have clearly stated this on our Item Description Sheet so the bidders will be fully aware of what they are bidding for.

We do have a standard disclosure, but it is not related to expiration dates, it is related to values and it is printed on our Bidding sheets. I do not know the exact wording but it states that we do not place the values on the individual items, we receive the value of the donated item from the donor.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone put a disclaimer for any items donated? If so, would you please post the wording. What I am trying to say is that on my list of donations, I want to say that "we are not responsible for any items donated that may expire, etc." but I am really not sure how to word it. Thanks for any help.

Two more questions:

Does anyone have a letter that they send specifically to companies who have donated in the past?

Does anyone include a return addressed envelope/stamped along with their donation letter? Curious....

Thanks!
Laura

I tried the Redbox link through survey monkey and it's not working. Anyone have any luck with it recently?

Thanks!

Google the name of your city or state, plus "donation request" or contact local popular businesses or businesses that have corporate offices in your area directly.
