I've noticed that a lot of the listings for auction/raffle donations are quite old. Both the economy and company policies change over time, so I am starting a new Thread. I have found it tedious to go through pages and pages of a thread to get what we all really want - Names and contact info of national corporate donors people have been successful with. So, I ask the following:
PLEASE:
1) Only list sources you have had success with.
2) If you have questions for a poster, please contact them directly - not through this thread. This thread is supposed to be a Listing.
3) Use the following format for your listing
COMPANY NAME
-- Mailing Address -or- URL for online form
-- How long it took you to get a response
-- What did the company donate?
-- Your comments
I sent out 500 letters a week ago, I received donations from the local commedy club, bowling alley if you have a Dave& Busters in your area they donate, I am in NJ border NY area. Adventureland sent 2 passes they are in NYC, Cheeseburger in Paradise sent $15 gift certificate, will keep you posted, I sent to all the local sports teams, semi pro and pro, some donate some do not local radio stations WHUD, WPLJ etc. Hope this helps will update as donations come in.
Received Commander on the Hudson Boattour for two, Maggione's Little Italy $50.00 gift certificate, NY Skyride, Shoprite, Belleayre ski lift tickets, Cracker Barrel, Sheraton overnightstay, Carvel gift certificate for ice cream cake, Falls VIew Grille, and still coming in.
I spoke to the GM at my local Staples and he told me to come in with a donation letter and they will fill out the paperwork for me right there. He said they usually do a $20-$25 gift card...
I just heard back from Staples online at their foundation info. dept. and they said to go to your local Staples and ask the GM about their We Care Staples gift cards. My local GM told me that they get a monthly list of products they can donate, so check back in March.
I emailed CVS last week and haven't heard anything yet!
